Yoga Therapy for Pregnancy + Postpartum

Becoming a mother (or even the thought of becoming a mother) can stir up many emotions that we don’t expect - anxiety, fear, overwhelm, confusion - along with the emotions we do - joy, excitement, love. The process of birth and nurturing your baby can also unearth past traumas, fears, or worries.

Physically, during pregnancy and later post-partum, you may be navigating symptoms of back pain, pelvic pain, core instability, heartburn, fatigue, insomnia, etc. You don’t need to go through any of this alone.

A yoga therapy approach sees you as a multi-faceted and unique individual, and uses yoga movement, breath, talk therapy, and more to help you feel better in your body. As a yoga therapy practitioner, I believe you are already whole, not broken, and am committed to easing your transition into motherhood.


Sleep Consulting

Sleep is not a luxury, but rather it’s a necessity for our emotional and physical well-being at all stages of life. With my roots in yoga therapy, I’m committed to supporting mothers establish deeper bonds with their babies and toddlers. Understanding why a baby or toddler has trouble sleeping is so much more than teaching her or him to “self-soothe.” It’s an indicator of emotions, feelings, physical state, and environment. I take a multi-layered approach to helping your child — and you, mama — get the rest you need.

I remember lying at the end of practice, tears welling in my eyes. I felt so tenderly cared for during a time of much change and upheaval in my life. The physical practice left me feeling strong and energized, yet relaxed and my body soothed. The guided meditation on our upcoming birth allowed me to slow down and be introspective. I can’t speak highly enough of Yoga Dear & Leanne’s prenatal program. Prior to being pregnant, I had only attended a handful of yoga classes. When I was at the tail end of my 1st trimester, I realized that many of my typical forms of exercise were going to get harder as pregnancy progressed.

Through Leanne’s expertise and guidance, I not only was able to stay active throughout my pregnancy (I attended a yoga class just 2 days before delivering), but I also got stronger and more confident. The prenatal sessions taught me how to safely move and strengthen muscles during pregnancy, introduced me to other expecting mothers and gave me tools (breathing exercises, movements, etc.) to help with labor.

Yoga Therapy + Sleep Consulting
Thank you for choosing Yoga Dear to support you. Yoga Dear offers services in yoga therapy, to include any or all of the following to support women in their motherhood journeys: in-person private yoga therapy session, group yoga therapy, meditation, breathing techniques, yoga postures, infant + toddler sleep consulting, parent sleep consulting.

Yoga Dear does not diagnose, offer medical advice, or treatment for its clients. Yoga Dear does not claim or assert a definite outcome as a result of purchasing a package and working together. Yoga Dear will support each Client in attaining their sought after goal, with the Client agreeing to practice suggested techniques.

Leanne Matullo, of Yoga Dear, will be available for email support during most business days. Yoga Dear does not respond to emails over the weekend. Client agrees to email questions and concerns. Client may schedule a phone consultation and/or appointment after purchasing the agreed upon package. Leanne offers 15-20 min complimentary consultations for all services to determine Client fit.

Refund requests must be received within 30 days of package purchase. Prior to refund, Client will share a detailed log of each day’s sleep activity for two weeks.

For all services, cancellations, rescheduling appointments, or non-showing within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time will result in having 15-minutes of time or one email deducted from your remaining allotted allowance to compensate for the sleep consultant’s time as well as the time that could have been used by another family. This helps to ensure that all of our clients get help in a timely manner.

For all Yoga Dear Sleep Express calls, no refund will be issued if cancelled within 24 hours.

You may reschedule an appointment within 2 weeks if you notify us within 48 hours of your appointment. This helps to ensure that all of our Clients, including women, mothers, and sleepy families get help in a timely manner.

All services are non-transferable. To request a refund for any service, please email leanne@yogadear.com. Refunds will be processed on a weekly basis, usually 7-10 days from the time we receive your request. If you have any questions about or policies, please contact us.
